KWARA STATE JOINT SECURITY TASK FORCE NEUTRALIZES KIDNAPPERS, RESCUE VICTIMS 



The Kwara State Joint Tax Force have rescued politicians abducted along 

Obbo-Ile /Osi road, killing the abductors in fierce exchange of gun sots on Saturday when the Joint Task Force swooped on their hideouts, it was learnt on Monday.


The kidnappers were shot dead on Saturday night as the Kwara Joint Security Task Force swooped on their hideouts in bushes around Ekiti local government area of the state after hours of tracking.


A security source said the state government had since the incident a few days ago activated the security architecture which involved the police and local vigilante groups in the area.


The Kwara Joint Security Task Force traced the abductors to their hideouts following detailed intelligence gathered from various sources. Part of the successful operation involved difficult terrains and night movement. 


According to security report, efforts are still ongoing to arrest the remaining kidnappers who escaped with bullet wounds.


It would be recalled that as part of its efforts to prevent criminal elements from gaining a foothold in the state, Kwara State Joint Security Task Force had earlier begun operations in Kaiama and Baruten local government areas of the state to further beef up security in the state.


Meanwhile, the Kwara State State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in company of Kwara APC Chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi, Deputy Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly Hon. Raphael Adetiba, Hon. Ganiyu Abolarin (Ekiti Constituency), Commissioner for Health Dr Raji Razaq and other party/government officials visit to commiserate with the family of Chief Mrs Olomi Sunday  who died in the hands of her abductors over the weekend.
